Evelyn Taylor, surviving spouse of the Rev. Alva W. Taylor, died August 12. Private funeral services for the family were held at Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home followed by burial at Mansfield Memorial Park. Thelma Hawkins, surviving spouse of the Rev. Richard E. Hawkins, died December 1. A private family service was held at Woodlawn UMC on December 29, 2020. A public Celebration of Life will be planned when gathering is safe. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. W. Paul Brown.

The right candidate will have a missionary heart to reach the unchurched in our community while continuing to inspire and motivate the church family. We are seeking and individual with an unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ; he and his family must be an example for the congregation in being faithful to the Lord and His church. The minister will have a firm grasp on the purpose, values, and strategy of the church. In agreement with the elders, the Minister will communicate the vision and direction to the congregation. We aim to be the faithful church described in scripture – a group of believers that love God and one another, help those in need, pray continually, and share the good news of Christ with others.
Minister who is willing to be active in the community to aid in outreach opportunities. We are a congregation of about 35 members with two elders. The position is currently part-time, which we intend to convert to full-time as the congregation grows.

We conduct worship each first day of the week where we partake of the lord’s supper, and we lay by in store. We also perform acapella singing, and offer prayers and supplications, as well as preaching and teaching. We promote “in home” bible studies, as well as wonderful family events such as monthly “potlucks” and “family fests” We also have a Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening bible study.
She is survived by children Sheryl Blair, Lisa Cunningham, and Lynne Ellis; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gillis was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Phillip Gillis. She is survived by children Steven Gillis, Elizabeth Gillis and Everet Gillis; and one granddaughter. Mr. Brion is survived by his wife, the Rev. Jerrie Bell-Brion; son Gerard Brion; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Waggamon is preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Glenn Waggamon.

Rev. Klempnauer is survived by his wife Nan, daughter Amie Miller, daughter Stace Keane, step-son Christopher Yeoman, step-daughter Brittany Haske, and four grandchildren. William F. Brion, spouse of the Rev. Jerrie Bell-Brion, died October 11. A service was held October 18, 2019 at the Sulphur Grove UMC in Huber Heights, OH. Interment followed at the Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors. Rev. Newland is survived by wife Irma, son Wesley Newland, son Timothy Newland, son Todd Newland, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Elizabeth Burge, surviving spouse of the Rev. Donald Burge, died March 18.
O Develop, present, and execute plans to achieve effective results for the ministry, complimenting the mission and vision of the congregation. • Be available for regular office hours on Monday through Friday each week to assist as necessary with general office work or for planning for youth activities. • Form relationships with youth, ages 6th grade and down, and their parents that will ease the transition of these children from this group to the Youth Group.
She also served in United Methodist conference staff positions in the East Ohio and Northwest Texas Conferences. Rev. Taylor served Nova/Ruggles, Milan, Dover, Bay, Maple Heights, Painesville, and Elyria First United Methodist Churches before retiring from the East Ohio Conference in 1985. We are a congregation of 40 members and 2 elders with several visitors attending each week. Our congregation is diverse with different nationalities, various ages, and a good mix of both new and mature Christians. Medicine Hat is a medium sized Alberta city that still maintains a family friendly environment.
He should have an appropriate baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, preferably church of Christ related, or a proven track record of ministry growth with a church. He will work under the current Eldership consisting of four sincere and devoted men. He will join a ministry staff consisting of a part-time youth minister, technology coordinator, preschool director, and administrative assistant. Salary package will be commensurate with education and experience. The ideal candidate must have pulpit experience and a degree in Bible from a Christian college/university or preaching school.
We also have a large and vibrant young adult group who make up a large portion of our congregation. Assist, support, and work cohesively with the Communications, A/V, Website ministries in worship, church events, and ministry events. Participate in other appropriate ministries – to build connections and to develop leadership within the worship ministry. • Possess, or be willing to learn skills and competency in theology, counseling, youth ministry and teaching/mentoring.
O Support existing efforts and programs of the congregation through participation and leadership. O Integrate youth and family plans with Central’s overall ministry plan. O Transition achievements from networking and promotion to engagement in planned activities. Participants should experience the value of belonging to a community of believers who put their hope, faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
